Any information we collect from you is stored in a secure manner and we only allow staff to access the information they need to do their job. Any data held will be within the remit of law ie will be adequate, relevant and not excessive in relation to the purpose for which they are processed.
Under the Data Protection Act 1998 you are entitled to request at any time to see the data which we hold about you (“the right of subject access”). We will charge an administration fee of to £10.00 for this information to be sent to you. To obtain your information just contact us in writing any time at email@example.com and we will respond to your request within 40 calendar days (once we have received the fee and have all the information we need to be able to access your records) as required by law. We are also obliged by law to ensure the data we hold on you is accurate and up to date. If you think we need to make a correction to any data we hold on you, please notify us in writing and corrections will be effected as soon as possible.
We comply and publish, for education, marketing and other purposes, statistics on our courses, attendants and feedback. This information will never identify any individual person but will only show high-level facts and figures.
In the future we would like to contact you to tell you about new courses coming up as well as to arrange reunions for you and the other people on your course. You have the right to ask us not to stop contacting you whenever you want. When we send you emails we will always have a clear way for you to unsubscribe to our communications. Or you can get in touch with us directly at any time to tell us not to contact you again. Again we will ensure we do this as soon as possible and will comply with the expectations of the Data Protection Act 1998 to stop emails within 28 days of receiving notification to stop, and post within 2 months of receiving notification to stop.
Any communications we send you will include our full name, and a valid email address where you will be able to opt out of future requests. You may opt out of receiving future marketing communications both when data is collected, at every subsequent occasion when communications are sent out, or whenever you want. We will always give you a clear and simple means to opt out of receiving future communications.
